Dental implants are the most secure and long-term option for tooth replacement. As our business name insinuates, we provide the best dental implants in the area. A dental implant is where a prosthetic tooth or a number of prosthetic teeth are connected directly to the jawbone. This is done through a screw like piece of metal after a hole has been created to fit it. In our services Tab, we have a whole page dedicated to dental implants, the benefits, procedure and aftercare. If you are interested in getting dental implants, please head to that page to get further details.
Dental bridges can be a great option if you have a cluster of teeth missing and have a bigger gap to fill. It can also be a good option for a small number of tooth replacement if you are not comfortable with dental implants. Bridges are a less invasive way of filling the missing teeth in your mouth by using prosthetics attached to other teeth, thus creating a bridge. As they are attached to teeth presently in the mouth which are shaved back to allow for a prosthetic cover, the process does not involve any drilling into the jawbone. There is detailed information on dental bridges in our services tab with a page titled Dental Bridges.
Dentures are a very common way to replace teeth and have been since the early 1700’s, although they have come a very long way since then. Dentures are able in either partial or complete sets of teeth and are made out of prosthetic teeth. These are attached to a plate made out of plastic resin, similar to the colour of your gums that can easily be put in and taken out as required. The look and have the same function as your regular teeth and are a great, non-invasive way to have your smile and speech restored. There is further information on dentures on our service page titled dentures.
If you are unsure of any of the above options, you are most welcome to talk with one of our oral care professionals. They will discuss with you any concerns you may have and suggest an option that may be best suited to your comfort level and current state of present teeth. A common combination is implants and bridges. This is often used when there is a group of teeth missing in the same location, and implants are not a comfortable option for the client due to the invasive nature of the procedure. It is possible to have implants on the two outermost teeth and a bridge of prosthetics between them.
